Complete guide to clash of clan town hall 5 attack strategies!

After playing for more than two years now, I have come to the conclusion that choosing the right attack is very essential for winning in the clash of clans. Having attack strategy that you are good with and confident with very important and if you don't have yet, I am here to help you find one.

let us look at new items that unlock when you reach town hall 5.

New items	Description
Wizard tower  x1	A wizard stands atop a spiraling cone-shaped structures and he is capable of inflicting powerful splash damage to both Ground and Air units. Though he has short range, he has the high rate of fire and has no blind spot. He is effective to both air troops and ground troops. Try to keep him covered and unexposed, placing him around town hall works pretty fine.
Air Bomb x2	It is invisible to the attacker troops until they enter into proximity and it deals similar damage to the normal ground bomb. It is effective to only air troops like balloon and dragons. Try placing them near to the air defense.
Spell factory x1	It allows players to cook spells such as heal spell and lighting spells and four more using elixir. Spells are really handy and each spell has their own specific properties. Players can unlock this spells by upgrading the spell factory. At level 1 you can cook lighting spells.

ATTACK STRATEGIES FOR FARMING

When you are farming it’s important that you keep it cheap and fast. You can use many types of attacks for farming but using giants and wizards consumes lots of your resources and at the same time takes a lot of time to trains this troops.

So let us look at two attacks that can solve your problem of resources and time!

1.   MASS BARBARIAN ATTACK 

As the name suggests this strategy makes use of barbarians. All attacking troops are barbarian with some help from the clan castle troops. This attack is the simplest and easiest one and doesn’t require any practice.

FIND A BASE YOU CAN BEAT!

Note: Barch attacks work really well on the base with lots building outside the main wall and far from defense structures that deal splash damages like motor and wizard tower!

• Whether it is war or farming always remember to check and lure the enemy clan castle troops to the corner and take them out with lighting spells or barbarians!

Important: enemy CC troops that deal splash damage can easily kill a group of giants or archer if you are not careful enough! Take them to a corner and take care of them with lightning spells and some wizards.

• Once enemy CC troops are out spread out your barbarians around the enemy base! You can easily hit 50% and save your trophy.

• Make use of clan castle troops for cleaning up

Note: Depending on the defending base you can either circle the enemy base with barbarians or you can spread out your barbarians equally from the four sides.

2.   BARCH ATTACK

Note: This attack is similar to mass barbarian attack except that you make use of archers here, which makes them a very strong combination.

• The first step is always to check and lure the enemy clan castle troops and take’em out!

• Once they are down circle, the enemy base with barbarians, this will distract most of the defense weapons in range.

• Then place your archers behind the barbarians to attack while barbarians take most of the hit.

• Drop your remaining troops and clan castle troops for cleaning up

Although there are many strategies these two probably are the most prominent and are used by many players farming and trophy pushing.

Note: Since barbarians and archers are some of the cheapest and fastest troops to train and have comparatively high hit points, they are very effective to farming. 

ATTACK STRATEGIES FOR WAR

1.   MASS BALLOON ATTACK

Archers	14+
Clan castle troop	4 hog riders level 4+

• The first thing to do is to lure the clan castle troop and let the archers take them out. If you think they wouldn’t be enough then make use of lighting spell to make things easier!

• Look for the air defense!

• Now it is very important that you place your hog riders nearest to air defense and let them destroy it. If you still have your lighting spell drop it on the air defense to weaken it, but before you place your hog riders check for spring traps and giant bombs near air defense by dropping an archer or any other remaining troop.

• Once air defense is down, place your balloons at different locations and not in the single spot to protect them from air bombs which are very effective against balloons.

2.GIANT WIZARD WALL BREAKER/GIWIWA STRATEGY

• Check and lure enemy clan castle troops.  

• Select a good place to start your attack

Note: start dropping your troops where there are few number defense structures that can reach your troops

• Deploy all your giants as tank/shield 

• While your giants are soaking up the attack from enemy defenses deploy your wall breakers to take care of the outside walls and inside.

• Spread out some of your wizard behinds the giants to take on enemy defenses while they are targeting your giants.

• Spread out other wizards behinds to help clean up.

And JOB DONE!
